As in the parable of the wheat and the tares, the tares of the field may not be distinguishable from the wheat until they begin to bear fruit. It is the same for us as we get older. When we choose to fill our lives with good and uplifting experiences, then as we age our “fruit” will begin to show forth distinguishing us from the sad and miserable who did not choose the best for their lives.
